That's bcz we need a villains in the story, even tho team rocket tries to steal Pikachu they add a little fun and make us laugh and that's what the creator's want,

Jokes and references aside this was pretty good and has been like 10 years since the last time since they ever showed Cassidy/Yamato and Butch/Kosaburo.

After looking at their voice actors, I can see why. Masako Katsuki hasn’t done a bunch of recent roles, outside of some stuff like Smoothie in One Piece or Tsunade in Naruto (or some other stuff like a minor role in Wonder Egg Priority). On the other hand, Biff’s VA is fucking Takehito Koyasu. That man has a never-ending string of DIO-like roles that need DIO-ing.

Dont forget James' voice actor is also Zamasu.
Butch's Voice actor is also Hearts from DBSH and Hearts could have met Zamasu in this episode.

This was my 1st time hearing their Japanese names and Butch's name banter is still funny.

Since I only seen the earliest eps of Pokemon in English dub until seeing Best Wishes with in original Japanese dub with subs

I started watching sub when I ran out of dub episodes halfway through Sun & moon.
Then I joined the sub train and will never leave it becz u know subs>>>dub lol

i don't think dubs are bad, heck the majority of us would have never even heard of anime without dubs, but I am happy I switched to subs during the xy series, can't stand some of the voice acting during sun and moon. And I still occasionally can't stand Goh's english voice. But I am coming back to the dubs for certain episodes such as Ash's battles for the Championship.

Is ironic that Butch and Cassidy were more competent and holding a higher ranked than Jessie and James yet they're the ones who retired while Jessie and James still get blasted off due to their continuous, but pointless attempts at capturing Pikachu.

Apparently in Japan, when a person reaches the top of something, he prefers to retire, than to look for a person who surpasses him. Although it is my assumption. Since this is not the first time I see something similar.

I see... The more you succeed, the harder it gets to find difficulties to surpass... Yeah, I guess it's more fulfilling to reach the top and start from scratch in something you haven't mastered yet. ^^b

Butch and Cassidy are competent but not the best. In Pokémon chronicles they lost to Delia and Tracey so who battle that much.

Well in my defense never wrote that they were the best only they're more competent and had a higher rank than Jessie and James.

They finally became aware of their immunity to fall damage and started to exploit that mechanic for fast travel \o/

I think I understand Team Rocket's logic. "If Pikachu's 1000 volts can kick us out of civilization, then it can kick us back, too."

Writers cant even give the parot or some decent combat pokemon to team rocket while Go hogs all the pokemon
